Categories vs Tags 

For our site, categories represent a broad grouping of topics/themes that we collectively developed together. Our categories are designed to provide you, the viewer, a quick way to group our research by location, time or topic/theme.

Tags are more organic, they often connect topics/themes across multiple categories and sub-categories. We allow individual authors to identify tags that bests describes and connects their work to both our local and global community.  Click on an individual tag to view student research from a range of locations, times or topics/themes.
